Sterilization. The pens should be cleaned and disinfected before the piglets enter the house. Put hay on the ground where the piglets are going to sleep, and sprinkle some water on the ground where the feces are defecate, so that the piglets can be trained to find their habit.
Feed every other day. The piglets on the day of entering the pen are only provided with clean and hygienic drinking water. The next morning, 60% to 70% of the normal feeding amount is fed. Not feeding on the first day can also make the pig feel hungry and help the piglets adapt to the new feed.
Training food raw materials. Since pigs in rural areas are still fed with clinker, and most piglets are also cooked, the newly purchased piglets should be trained to eat raw food. The method is: take some palatable green materials and chop them, add a small amount of concentrate, wet them with water and feed them directly, first a small number of times, and then gradually transition to daily feeding twice.
Deworming, gastric lavage, stomach strengthening. After the piglets have adapted to the new environment, deworming is carried out. Mix the deworming medicine into a small amount of good-quality feed, and feed it once in the evening; 3 days later, use 10 ~ 15 grams of baking soda mixture once to feed the gastric lavage; 5 days later, use rhubarb soda tablets to mix, morning and evening once.
Soumu editor reminds farmers that after the piglets are adjusted by the above methods, the rearing is easier to manage and grow faster.
