[Pharmacological effects] Pharmacodynamic iron is the main component of hemoglobin and myoglobin. Hemoglobin is the main oxygen carrier in red blood cells. Myoglobin is the oxygen storage site of muscle cells to assist in the supply of oxygen during muscle movement. Most enzymes and factors involved in the TCA cycle contain iron or function only in the presence of iron. Therefore, when iron-deficient animals are actively supplemented with iron, in addition to accelerated hemoglobin synthesis, the symptoms related to tissue iron deficiency and reduced iron-containing enzyme activity, such as growth retardation, abnormal behavior and physical insufficiency, can be gradually corrected.
Pharmacokinetic iron injection, absorption is faster than oral; The serum concentration of iron dextran reached the peak at 24 to 48 hours after intramuscular injection, and its molecules were larger, which were absorbed by lymphatic vessels and then transferred into the blood, and the serum concentration increased slowly. After infusion into the blood circulation by intravenous or intramuscular injection, it is engulfed by the mononuclear phagocytic system and decomposed into iron and dextran. After absorption, iron ions are oxidized by ceruloplasmin in the blood to ferric iron ions, which are then bound to transferrin receptors and enter cells in the form of pinocytosis for use by hematopoietic cells. It can also be accumulated in the liver, spleen, bone marrow and other mononuclear and phagocytic cell systems in the form of ferritin or hemosiderin. Protein binding is high in hemoglobin, but low in myoglobin, enzymes, and iron transporter proteins, as well as low in ferritin or hemosiderin.

[Usage and dosage] Intramuscular injection: one dose, 1.33-4ml; 0.67 ~ 1.33ml for piglets; Puppies 0.13-1.33 ml; Fox 0.33-1.33 ml; Mink 0.2-0.67 ml.
